#69 - 2004
Year-2004 is a suicidal year for me. So many bombshells came out to blast me. What to do, I'm only human that wears-out. I cannot carry so much load. I've run out of bullets to fight. Not even an extra josh or any energy drink to keep me up.
So the easiest way was to run out!
Hahaha, I admit, I became a coward. Running out is the only solution coz some people left me no choice. I had been independent after college days. My parents gave me their blessing to live-out from our house. I love my freedom, my family, my friends and my work. I had a good life back then and all of these I gave up because of one reason (not even my fault!).
Though so much pains and sleepless night, I was able to swim as fast as I could with HIS help. HE pulls me up and gives me air to breath outshined those creeps who wanted to pull me down.
Now that I'm back on the net I can interact with my old friends, my family and new blogging friends but I still need to be on guard on every messages/posts I make.
I know it will take me years before I could finally say that I'm really OK when these creeping shadows will stop haunting me.
Hoping for the BEST for year-2005.

#68 - Christmas Hullabaloos
What a tremendous day for me!
For one, I received a news that my Aunt Edith (may God rest her soul), my mom's sister, died at exactly 12:00am, Christmas Day. I was disheartened about the news and I couldn’t help coz im here.
Then my friend Josie was pushed and slapped by her fellow colleague, a Syrian Male that resulted a bruises and swelling of her face. I rushed to her place upon learning of this commotion and urged her to report to the police. F*#^%@ that guy. He has no right to do that. I took some pictures of her bruises. At first, she was hesitating to complaint for her Manager told her not to make any move first and they will settle this. Time is running out, it's been 3 hours past the commotion and she didn’t heard anything from her Manager, besides she's complaining about the pain on her left pelvic. I dialed the police hotline and was able to talk to an officer who instructed me to go to this station and file the case. So, together with Hanin, we went to the Police station for a formal complain. They give us a form and send us to the government hospital for medical check-up. Hanin left us in the hospital for she has work in the afternoon. The nurses, x-ray technicians, guards and doctors of different nationalities were so accommodating except for one Filipina nurse who's so disappointing. It saddened us so much to think she's our kababayan. I was trying to keep myself cool for I knew Josie was counting on me during that time and she's still shivering from that situation.
After the check-up, we go back to the Police Station and wait. Again another crucial event for us, An officer told us to go back in the evening or the next day morning coz they were having a problem with the computer. Patience is not my virtue, I want it right now!!! Those words were freaking out in my mind and I wanted to blurt it out. What to do, what to do, we are in the foreign land. So we decided to go back to my friend's place and made her eat.
8:00pm - we were calling some friends who can understand and speak their language so that they will entertain us or anyone just to accompany us coz deep inside I don’t want to negotiate with the police officer but unfortunately no one is available. No choice!!!! We went back to the Police Station.
9:00pm - Josie, Ana and I reached the Police Station. One officer told us to wait at the waiting area. Tik tak, tik tak, it's getting late.
9:30pm - Josie texted her cousin in the US to get Mr. A mobile number. Tik tak, tik tak, it's getting late.
10:00pm - I called one officer for follow up. Another one came out from the office and told us to wait 5 minutes. We received a reply from her cousin and she called Mr. A and they talked. Josie was crying then when an officer with an interpreter approached us and said to come back in the morning coz they have problem in the computer and it was already 10:30pm. Tik tak, tik tak, it's really late.
Just think how long we waited there!

...and that's our Christmas Day.

#67 - Promotions et. al.
I was so engrossed watching a movie in my place when Ana called me up and invited me over for a dinner at the beach. Hey wait, dinner at the Beach? It's too freaking cold out there! I was wondering and wanted to ask her but I knew her. She's too transparent if she has a problem, so I said yes, turn off my laptop and joined them.
Together with Josie, Hassnain and Faisal, we went to the beach. They said it's a sort of Ana's post birthday celebration as well as Hassnain's Promotion but the truth prevails. Ana, Hassnain and Faisal are officemates and they were too pissed off to their works and to ….oppsss…. hehehe.
I enjoyed the night and had fun with them. *Grrrr* I'm shivering the whole night coz I'm so stupid to wear slippers instead of a close shoes or rubber shoes.
I took some pics but im having a problem uploading them. Maybe next week.

#66 - Interludes
I'm so glad that my boss allowed me to take a leave on Christmas day. They knew how important this day to the Christians so they allowed me to celebrate. I didn’t argue anymore since it's an extra off, I took advantage of it but it's ok with me to work on Christmas Day. =D

It saddened me to know that another friend is suffering from a close friend. Friend A is having a big leap while Friend B is indeed just waiting. I don’t want to interfere but Im here if they want my opinion.

#64 - Christmas Bazaar at SJC
Place: St. Joseph Church – Airport Road
Date: December 17, 2004
Last Friday, Ana, Josie and I attended a Tagalog Mass. After that, we joined the others to roam around for Christmas Festival Bazaar. Foods and Games were everywhere. I really enjoyed that day and it's good to know that Christians of different nationality gathered together and celebrate for a cause.

#63 - Bitching Tidbits
I got a vast reply through text, calls and emails from my friends when I posted here that someone called me a bitch a couple of days ago. These are my silent friends, who constantly reads my blog but made no comment on my site since they can call/text/email/YM me anytime.
To all my friends, relax!!! I'm fine, no need to elaborate the incident. I just smiled on it. I didn’t talk back, not a single BAD word came out from my mouth after that BITCHING incident. Fighting is no use. Let's just say, I do believe in KARMA.

I run out of movies to watch. My neighbor lends me Feng Shui, a horror/suspense movie of Kris A. Since it's a horror movie, I decided to try eventhough I'll have criticism in the end – the output, yeah right, no comment. Is it a horror/suspense movie? Hmmmm, then why am i laughing.

My new adopted son (Godson).
Second son of Ajee and Phil. Ajee and I became good friends during our project stint in Bangkok. She, on AS400 and I, on Imaging System, both for credit card/loan system.
It may be bad for others but would you believe that our friendship flourished because of cigarettes?
If both team has no deadline, we always go back early to our hotel room after office hours. We rarely go out (Gimik) since few can understand and speak English on that place. Ajee's room became our hangout. She cannot leave the room for her husband always call during the night, either we play tong-its or videoke. But most of the time, I was in her room since I cant sleep early and doesn’t want to stay in my room. We chat, watch UFC and smoke. Ajee is a good listener and down-to-earth person. She's not only my smoking buddy but also my shopping partner. We shop a lot and I was so thankful that we jive on many things.
I met Phil and Calix, Ajee's husband and son, when my team goes back to Manila to renew our visa.
After a year of no communication, Ajee found me again in YM and now became a Godmother to her youngest son.
It feels good to found an old friend.

#60 - Movies and Books
One thing I value reading my friend's blog were their reviews and comments on movies and books they have watched and read. This made me come back to reality. After adjusting my life here, I knew whom to contact regarding pirated movies. I even got addicted every night watching movies with matching chips and salsa/mayo. After a month of DVD galore, now i'm back at reading books.
I listed all the good books that I think worth reading from friend's reviews and comments and yesterday I purchased some of them plus some books of John Grisham and Michael Crichton. I got hooked up reading JG and MC's stuff since I enjoy reading detective/spy/courtroom novels of Sheldon, Ludlum, Cornwell, Seagal and among others. I started reading their staff only last year. Then I got disappointed when I couldn’t purchase the Da Vinci Code book coz English version is not yet available here. Arggh, this book is what I have been waiting for after a good reviews from Rors and Rins but i'm still hoping that I could get one before Christmas. Anyway, the sales clerk was so helpful on my inquiries and she told me to go back after a week plus I told her that I also want "When will Jesus bring the Pork Chops?". I also got a good review of this book from Chi. If only I could purchase a book in the net, hayyy…it's not easy to purchase a book from the net here, my big problem - the address or P.O. Box number and I wouldn’t dare to use our office number for some other reasons.
Lastnight I started reading JG's The Partner. I was so immersed on that book that I forgot the time. It's already 2:00am when I decided to put down the book and call it a night. I have work tomorrow. Bad Timing!!! But I couldn’t sleep! My mind is still on the book. Still thinking and concluding what will happen next on the main character. Hehehe, Silly of me!
Anyway, now that I have books waiting for me in my room, I can't wait to go back to my place and read.

Christmas is coming and I hate the thought of it!
It's not my first Christmas without my family, but spending alone is a different issue. Most of my friends went back home to spend the Holidays with their families like Willa and Cris. Jacq is far from my place and living a hermit life now =) . Tito Danny, my drinking buddy, decided to leave this country for good and I miss the rest of his gang. My brother and sister-in-law will be very busy on their church activities. And for the rest, I know they have their own plan too.
Christmas is just an ordinary day here and worst of all, I have work on that day!!!
I still have 14 days to go to plan if …. Ahhh (damn! I don’t want to make plans anymore) but for now, I guess I'll just be in my place all ALONE.

Couch potato lifestyle!!! Yeba!!!
Gone are the days of staying long hours at the coffee shop.
Less night out!
No badminton session till February.
