Poor Me
Are you poor? Well don't frown because it's not the end of the world.
Being a poor is not a crime or a sin to covet thy neighbour’s wife.Being a poor is not a valid reason not to aim high for your dreams.One of the hypocrite's theory in this world is 'I give up my hopes and dreams because I am a poor'. I don't believe in that! You are such a loser!
You may be born poor, poor in physical things, poor in spiritual aspect or intellectually poor, well don't linger on that. I do believe that everyone has their own mind to decide, to choose and to fulfil their dreams. I called it attitude!
Having a positive attitude is a good way to start your dream. Start with small yet possible dream to achieve.
Like an old friend who celebrated her birthday yesterday. All she wanted was to have a small gathering with her friends and family but she can't because of financial problem. Until one friend started an email announcement, made plans and volunteered to bring something. Then another friend, then another and so on, till we made a celebration at the park to fulfil our friend's small dream. We may be poor in financial matters but we are rich with friends.
It's not bad to have a dream. It's free and a big challenge for yourself. So plan well and make sure you will not destroy someone's lives just to achieve it.

Triple B
Blog is my only companion where I can pour out my ghastly feelings right now. It has been years since my last post and I thought I will never return to blogging with angst. But I'm wrong!
I just wanted to share with you one of my stories here in the land of oil and sand.
I was duped and devastated when I confirmed my suspicion.....
A year ago, I met a lady through a common friend. I even recommended her to replace my job when I was transferred to another place.
We jive instantly and our friendship developed. I even introduced her to my mom and to the rest of my family. In short, I have treated her as a sister. She was welcome to my circle of friends and was all amaze how good she was.
Little did I know that an angel face was a devil in disguise.
Triple B, that’s me! That’s how she refers me to her lover.
Bad Influence
Bitch (hmmm…sounds familiar)
Bugaw (Pimp in English).
A friend that I treasured and treated as a sister called me that! I was really devastated from all the lies that she invented against me towards her lover. I admit that I doubted her actions before, but I did not entertain the thoughts knowing that she is my friend. I even give her a chance to talk and to prove, on what I saw and witnessed before was wrong but she kept quiet. Until the bombshell was out!!!
I think triple B applies for her own agenda. Imagine this…
She uses my name everytime she went home late! - B.I.
She uses my name as an excuse whenever she wanted to go out! - Bitch
She uses my name whenever she wants to meet another guy. - Bugaw
What a life!
There are more shocking stories that need not to elaborate. All I can think of right now, my former friend is a true blue Madonna material girl in person.
Name it all, just imagine madonna’s video of material girl, she has all that.
A great pretender (trying to be clean and naïve) and user for the last 4 years to the old married guy for material things.

Vacation Crisis
Eid Holidays is over, imagine 5 days of doing nothing but watching. Yeah right, I got hooked-up in the tv series again. House is interesting though I'm not in the medical field. I still found time to hang out with friends but I got itched to go back home to finish the 3 disc series.
Anyway, I'm currently on the third season and I still have time to finish over the weekend. For the meantime, I want to share some fireworks moment here.

Take 5
It’s getting cold here and Christmas is everywhere. Would you believe that malls started to decorate their shops for Christmas season here? Five years ago, Christmas is just an ordinary day but now even local people became aware of Christmas.
Speaking of Christmas, I was really having trouble what kind of gift I will give to my friend. Every year, it was really a hard day for me to roam around the malls just to look for a perfect gift for him. This morning, I went to the mall to start my pre-Christmas shopping. Oh by the way, I’m enjoying my 5 days Eid Holiday. I took advantage of it to start my shopping.
It just so happen that I stumble on these 5.11 Tactical pants. It was cool, I even like it for myself. I checked it out and found out that I can even buy online. Wow that will be a big relief on my side. I’m more comfortable buying stuff online. I’m pretty sure he will love it. He likes military things although he’s not from military.
You know what I found out more? 5.11 Tactical have more brands, not just pants. I checked all their brands. They have shirts, shoes, bags, books, watches, eyewear, shorts, knives and pouches for mobile, guns, knives and more. They offer small size to larger ones pouches. What I love most is the 5.11 Tactical watches and the 5.11 Tactical eyewears. Oh my, I will forget my budget plan for now, I will start next year. If only my dad is still here, for sure he will like it also. He likes these things, we have the same taste. Anyhow, instead of buying for my friend only, now I have to include myself on this order.
Hey, it’s Christmas time, time to indulge yourself once in a while. Correct?

Helping Out Loud
Weather here starts to become bad. It’s been dusty, windy and zero visibility for a week now. It’s good that classes are closed for summer to protect children’s health as well as vacationers.
Some of my colleagues started packing their things and off to their vacations. The management allowed everyone at the office who wants to take their leave vacations for at least 2 weeks. From my previous post, I wrote about them seeking my help regarding cheap hotels in different destinations like France, London, Sydney, Birmingham, New York, Miami and so on. Most of my colleagues who asked my advice materialized their plans especially those who look for Hotels Paris and Hotels Sydney, but some did not push through on their vacations outside UAE and opted to stay here and explore Dubai and Fujairah.
On the other hand, I was so happy helping out another friend for the last minute reservation. Olive was given a short notice by her family to meet them at Phuket. She was so worried for she was not prepared to take a vacation because of budget issue. It’s good that I was able to refer her to some Cheap Hotels in Phuket and she couldn’t believe it. Tomorrow night she will fly there and I could get reviews from her.
This site really helps me a lot. I could personally confirm that. I will tell soon on my next post.

Unplanned Indulgence
I just had a dinner with my friends and it has been long since I was with them. During the course of our conversation, we were teasing Ger for his forthcoming marriage proposal. If Julia Roberts was the star in Runaway Bride, I could compare Ger as a runaway groom. Not necessary he’s running away, but he always chicken out to propose to Adlin. With that, I agreed to buy them a wedding plaques made by Whitehall Products inorder to push through their wedding.
Then Joe joins the group feeling agitated because he got lost again. I inform him I will give address plaques not to be disoriented in the future. The group laughed out hard for Joe becomes absent minded for the last couple of weeks due to exhaustion from chatting and watching internet based movies. Rins alerted the group having fruit salad in their house and Joe’s eyes become big, even encouraging me to come along with them.
As we finished our dinner, I joke with Reen to make sure that their house numbers is visible to Joe. He might get lost... again!!!
I excused myself for not coming to their house for I must check my mailboxes. I need to check my bills. It was really good to be with friends again.Labels: Food, Friends, Life on edge, Tips

Down Under
I had a brief yet funny chat with my long time friend (Mel) yesterday. She was my former colleague back home and I'm a Godmother to her eldest daughter. Our friendship reunited when I visited her in Bangkok 2 years ago. Now that she’s in Oz, again she invited me to visit there and even extended her invitation to the Thursday Club. Both of us love to travel and she knew that I like staying in the hotel.
For one, I found out that there’s a Novotel and Radisson in Oz. I like Novotel because that is the place where I lived when I used to work in Bangkok. Radisson Hotels is familiar to me because there’s Radisson here in Dubai. Then I got a tempting bargain from Ibis Hotels, which is very convenient place to stay because it is near in the airport and commercial area. I also check Quest Apartments just in case Thursday Club wants to visit Mel. Thursday Club Family opted to stay together in one big place the same thing that we did in Bangkok.
Hmmm, another adventure, another travel, but when will I squeeze this to my calendar? Just hang on Mel, Thursday Club Family will invade you soon.

Hot in the City - 3
After my conversation with some colleagues yesterday, another group approaches me today and even joke around that my space became a travel advisory corner. It’s good that my workload is less that I could entertain my multiracial colleagues.
Spending summer here is not their cup of tea, so these people are running fast to get out from the heat. One colleague asked me about Munich. I was taken aback for I don’t want to revoke a gloomy episode of my saga.
Instead, I called our travel agency to give us travel advisory to Germany. She’s quite handy and came to our office. According to her, reservation for accommodations in Berlin Hotels, Frankfurt Hotels, Munich Hotels and Köln Hotels are all conveniently located to tourist destination and open for travelers. The four mentioned major cities should not be left out in our itineraries and amongst tourist favorites place to visit in Germany. Olympia Park in Munich, St. Paul Church in Frankfurt, Pergamon Museum and Brandenburg Gate in Berlin, Cologne Cathedral and Hohenzollern Bridge in Köln or Cologne, are some of the places that she recommended to us to visit.
Hmmm, this is interesting, let me check my calendar.

Hot in the City – 2
Summer is fast approaching and my colleagues won’t stop pestering me regarding travel tips.
So here’s another update, I mention to my colleagues about the travel packages being offered in France and UK and they were all excited.
For some who wants to go to Paris, I refer them to my previous post ‘Next Stop:France’ to get more information, tips, tourist destination and accommodation especially in Paris Hotels.
Then I discussed to other group about UK packages which is being offered by our official travel agency. I pointed out that Buckingham Palace, Opera House and Victoria Square must be on their top 3 priorities to visit. Knowing these people who don’t want any unexpected situation to happen, I informed them beforehand that these tourist sites are located in different cities, so they must ensure their accommodations and look for London Hotels, Birmingham Hotels and Manchester Hotels which are the key cities for the top 3 destination.
Wheew, what a day! Maybe I should shift my career into a travel adviser.

Hot in the city
Summer is fast approaching here and you can feel the humid. If you are used to spend summer here, you wouldn’t join the bandwagon of my officemates who are rushing to plan their summer get-away. As early as today, few of my officemates were applying their vacation leave, planning ahead and calling me. Since it is widely spread in our office about my travels, my phone wont stop ringing, my room is always full every lunch break and my officemates keep on asking my advice on where to go.
Europe and Asia are the best pit-stop. Since I have list of contacts and friends from my travels, they were asking me about the right contact person or agent or ask my view on certain places. There’s no problem helping them out, but they are divided into sub-continents. So I advised them that I will concentrate first to those groups planning to tour Europe.
Italy is the most nominated among couples or partners. So I recommended Venice or Florence. For partners who wanted a romantic escapade, I told them to look for Hotel Venice so that they can secure an accommodation first. Then I recommended Hotel Florence for my officemates who loves the renaissance. I also suggested Rome apartment if incase they want to stop by in the Capital city of Italy.
All of them were ecstatic when they checked out the site and told me about the usefulness of the information, maps, tours availability and photos they got. Aside from that, they can hop-in from one city to another without getting lost.

Power of Software Evolution
With the new software and modern technology that comes nowadays, who wouldn’t grab any software tools that come in handy?
I used to remember my college days wherein my first Programming subject was BASICA. It was so hard before how to make your program move, blink and change color using println, writeln and so on. Then another project to create a Calculator using Assembly Language. It was dreadful days in my college days.
Now, software scattered and offers a ready-to-use program - be in accounting, architecture, engineering, nurses, games and scrapping. Yes, I love scrapping my pictures. I could make dull digital photos into lively one. Using Photomix and Photoshop, I could mix and match different freebies, templates, layouts, embellishments and a lot more.

An Invitation
I received a tempting invitation from a childhood friend, Joanne, who is getting married soon. A friend whom I grew up with and we were even tagged as twins. My mom and her aunt used to buy clothes exactly the same for us. So just imagine the stares we have got from others. Both of our families became close until my family decided to let them moved in our house since they were only two (Joanne and her aunt). Our neighbors even thought that we are related to each other but the day has come that we have to say goodbye. Joanne’s petition from her mom came and she must join her in Greece. My mom and Aunt B were so sad then Aunt B decided to return to her province.
That was the past, now Joanne is getting married and inviting us to fly to Corfu and witness her grand wedding. The offer is so tempting especially when my friend enumerated Corfu’s town ideal tourist spot. What I like most is the Mt. Pantokrator and the sandy beaches. She really knows how to entice me and my adventure clock is ticking again.
Hmmm, another travel, another adventure and another budget. I must plan it wisely since the wedding date is on February next year, so I still have time to save.Labels: Adventure, Friends, Travel, vacation

Call Away from Home
Living alone and away from my family is very hard especially that I am thousand miles away from them. My only consolation is my mobile phone in keeping in touch with them. Part of my benefits from the company where I work for is an international plan call. Every month I have an average free rate to use and the excess will be charged to my pocket. My family scattered around the world, from Asia to Middle East to US down to UK. So you could imagine how much money I shell out from my salary every month especially if you scrutinize the bills. Plan subscribers like me will surely understand the content of the bills.
When I discovered the wonderful use of prepaid phone cards, I switched immediately. I was able to compare the usage of plan call to phone cards and I save huge amount using phone cards when calling internationally to my family. Now, I can even call my friends too.Labels: Family, Friends, General

Bull Race
Are you ready for the big race?
I'm ready...as well as thousand of locals, residents and tourists will gather tomorrow April 10 and 11 to Corniche, Abu Dhabi.
Yes, The Red Bull Air Race is back and Abu Dhabi is the first stop for 2008. This is a big chance for us to watch the flying stunts of the pilots and what's more, it's free! hehehe.

April Fools
Did somebody fooled you? Have you been fooled and your friends were the culprit?
Today is April Fool's Day and DJ's from radio station keep on reminding everyone to take care from crack jokes and be sport. Then i heard listeners sharing their fool's day experiece. What the heck, i dont believe on some of them, coz for me, april 1 is just an ordinary day. Well i was wrong...
Today's work was so hectic, then all of a sudden my colleague called me and informed me that one of our colleague will be terminated because of me... I was shocked and stunned. I couldnt remember anything that i have done. So i returned to my place and think. I was so sad because working here is pretty damn hard and yet someone was terminated because of me... So i talked to the person and was really got shocked when he started shouting at me... I wanted to speak and reason out until i could feel tears falling in my eyes. Then all of a sudden the team came out from the door and were all laughing at me saying....april fools...

How important is Word of Honor to you? Do you value it? Do you value every word that comes from your mouth? Or you don’t know it at all.
Some people tend to promise on something. I don’t know if it's a habit or they just wanted to keep the mouth shut on the other's party. You should be aware that whatever words that comes out from your mouth could be taken against you!!!
I couldn’t help but wonder that the kind of situation I'm witnessing right now really exist in this world. I thought it could only happen in the TV series, books or movies – meaning the writer's wild imagination. I was so surprised that someone's attitude will change because of money.
Anyway, some unforeseen event happened here and it involves my two friends (The Manager and The Winner). I met them through another friend and I could tell that they are nice people. They are working in the same company and they had a good working relationship. Last time I seen them together was with The Manager's surprised party from his staff. The Winner is one of the staff.
To sum it all, the Winner and his wife went to the Manager to borrow some money (which they always do) coz they will buy a video cam. The Manager, who always ready to help, agreed and even accompanied them. While at the mall, the Manager decided to buy a new mobile and they saw the Mall's current promo. So they redeemed their receipts for coupons. Since they got too much coupon and were mixed up, they decided that whoever wins, it would be divided to three and
all agreed.
Of course by now you know who won (The winner). Actually we were so happy that a Pinoy won the first prize, a brand new car amounting to USD 40,000.00 . The Winner informed The Manager that they won the prize. He emphasized "us". So the Manager just kept quiet but hoping. Now, The Winner turned the tide and made stories that it's his luck and he was only joking on his promise and spreading more bad news regarding the Manager and the whole staff got shocked. In the end, we found out that the Winner couldn’t decide coz the Wife was the one managing the money.
Hmmm, money money money… The Wife even forgot who took her to the hospital when she had an emergency, when the Management decided to shift her husband to another state and cried hard not to transfer him and when the wife was transferred here coming from another state…who helped them? Of course the poor Manager. What's so insulting, the wife gave the Manager USD 500.00 ! ouch....
"Money is the root of all evil." I don’t think so! Money doesn’t command people to do bad or good things. It depends on someone how to spend/use it and how to interact to others - if you have mind...

Mirror mirror on the wall
I am a transparent person! You could easily forecast coz i'm not a magician to conceal it. I was a moody person before, especially during my adolescent stage wherein war over my YS (youngest sister) strikes through and she always won coz of my mom. I was able to overcome my moodiness during college time but I guess it's back!
My moodiness started again when dad died. I easily lost my patience and ready to shout to other people. I fought back and give a dagger eyes on someone. I'm trying my best to change. It really hurt me to hurt someone's feeling (intentionally or not).
I keep away from blogsphere to lessen my posts and avoid causing more trouble for I might write hurtful words but a blogger will always be a blogger. So here I am, back at two!
I started my blog out of boredom and homesickness and was encouraged by my friends (mae and daday). Truly, blogging makes me occupied. I found my sanctuary! My haven… my BLOG.
Happy to be with my blogkada!

Disgruntled

I was taken aback! Am I right when I heard those words? It took me a minute to come back to earth!
We are in the middle of our sharing / bonding moments when my friend butt in those statements. I dont have any right to question her or to be annoyed because it's freaking true! I hardly see them but I thought they would understand my situation. When they were in my shoes, I didn’t ask nor demand. Well anyway, that's their opinion.
Maybe she expresses those words because we rarely go out now. Our nightly coffee habits lessen or maybe it's a sign to replace my current Watch!!!

Ok, I admit, I have MPD – Multiple Personality Disorder … hahaha… whenever the red flag is up (monthly period) The Nasty Sulking Lei is overpowering Mommy Lei. Once Nasty Sulking Lei dominate the system her big uncontrollable mouth and temper starts oozing bad expressions.
NSL has a bad temper.
NSL can easily loose her temper and could not control it.
NSL utter bad words that she didn’t mean but sometimes she do it deliberately.
NSL ended up barking at the wrong tree.
In short, I hurt someone and he just kept quiet to avoid having conflict with me.
I'm sorry.
